Welcome to Nine Brains Vintage!

I wanted to take a moment and tell you more about this shop and myself.

My name is Ashley and I live in Northwest Indiana. The name and logo for Nine Brains, are inspired by the nine brains that make up my precious family. I have three daughters and four sons, who make up seven of the nine brains, in addition to my husband and myself. If you're a bit of a science fiction geek, you can find a few pop culture references within our name as well. I have two decades of hands on experience handling and researching vintage clothing, and my most knowledgeable area is 60s and 70s,which were prolific in thrift stores in my youth. When you shop Nine Brains, you are shopping authentic vintage. I strive for quality over quantity, and you will never find a modern item passed off as vintage. 

I believe that to beat fast fashion, we must work together to keep these beautiful and high quality vintage items in modern women's closets. I also believe that you should never have to sacrifice your style to do so! The most sustainable clothing is clothing that withstands time, and I further this dedication by lovingly restoring, cleaning, and curating each piece personally. I also select 96%+ of my inventory from sources that are *not* thrifting, saving hundreds of items from ultimately ending up in a landfill.

I also offer a return policy, because I know it's not always a perfect fit. If you initiate a return within three days of delivery, you may return fee-free on me, as long as the order is in the condition sent. All other returns within 30 days are  accepted with a restocking fee of 5% or $5, whichever is greater, to cover the cost of reinitiating the item into my inventory. Items returned damaged may be subject partial or revocation of a refund. In short, unless you return it unsellable, you will be refunded minus the restocking fee after the first 3 days of receipt.
